Full speed ahead for Manovi with new owner

New ownership saves Manovi from closure. The business will remain in the same location and 11 jobs will be saved.

Manovi was founded in 1995. The company has developed well since 2010 when some of the partners acquired Manovi. Major investments have been made in modern production facilities and new production equipment. The recession has been a test, while it became clear that the acquisition had inherited some problems. Some of the former partners lost interest and have left the company. Unfortunately, the company suffered liquidity problems when, after a major investment in 2013, order intake fell by around 25% in 2014. The decision to close the department in Skillingaryd to reduce costs was enough despite the increase in orders, but unfortunately too late. The owners filed for bankruptcy on 10 April 2015.

The business has now been restarted with a new principal owner, Carl-Tore Bengtsson, and the current owners have obtained good basic financing via Handelsbanken in Varberg, which was also previously the company’s bank. Three of the previous owners are still involved as partners and are well acquainted with customers, suppliers and staff.

We will continue with the focus that exists in the company and work to be the INNOVATOR’S BEST FRIEND! ®. A slightly lower turnover is expected. The most important thing right now is to achieve a stable and secure business with good finances.
